Daily Lesson for July 5, 2021

Today's Daily Lesson comes from 1 Samuel chapter 15 verses 17 and 18

17 Samuel said, ‘Though you are little in your own eyes, are you not the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel. 18And the Lord sent you on a mission, and said, “Go . . ."

Saul was king, but in his own eyes he was not fit for the crown.

No one could see how small and afraid Saul felt, save the reader of souls and priest Samuel. Samuel called it what it was. Saul's worries over his own inadequacies would destroy his reign.

We have a term now for what Saul had; we call it Imposter Syndrome. It can crus our spirits and lead us to sabotage our own work. It kills careers.

We are where we are for a reason. We have what we need. We are not imposters. We've been anointed for the moment. We've been summoned for the times.

Let us believe in ourselves, and more importantly, let us believe in God.
