Today's Daily Lesson comes from Mark chapter 1 verse 14:
Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God . . .
Ukrainians have astounded the world in recent days, as the we have watched them hold out the country with such courage against Russian advance.
But what courage also so many thousands of Russians have demonstrated, as they filled the streets to protest Putin's power.
Just like after John was arrested then Jesus picked up his mantle and came proclaiming his same words, multitudes of Russian dissidents continue to carry the message of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, even as he is held in incarceration.
Pray for the courageous Ukrainians. Pray also for the courageous Russians.
Pray for their deep, deep courage and for the coming of the kingdom of God.
