Today’s Daily Lesson comes from Proverbs chapter 6 verses 16 through 19:
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
As we read through the Bible now it is fitting that we come now to the wisdom sayings of Solomon; for surely we need wisdom in these difficult days.
Be wise, friend. All is not as appears. There are many actively plotting to undermine our Nation. They sow the wind in order to reap the whirlwind. They set fires in order to start a conflagration.
Be wise, friend. Be discerning. The lines are not as straight as you think. Our enemies pose as our friends. And the serpent is at work to cast doubt on all that is good.
Be wise, friend. Beware. For there are many actively at war against “the more perfect Union”; and they will do anything to stop it.
NOTE: We are reading the whole Bible through this year. We will stick with Solomon for awhile. Tomorrow we learn from Proverbs 7 through 9.
